Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided in the following areas: 8VAC20-800-110-B- Form and content of immunization and physical examination reports for children.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/16/24 from 12:00pm to 1:15pm. At the time of the inspection there were four children in care totaling 11 points. Children were observed finishing lunch and preparing for nap time. Provider was observed soothing children as they settled into sleep. The kitchen, bathroom, outdoor and indoor childcare areas were viewed. The emergency response plan, emergency supplies, required postings and records for the provider and four children were reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that all documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
Evidence: 1.The most recent inspection summary (1/10/2024) was not posted in the family day home. 2.The provider confirmed the inspection summary was not posted.
