Today we discussed potential fire hazards, to include burning candles, as well as keeping plug in air fresheners in areas where children will not be capable of accessing them.
Depending on the ages and developmental level of children who enroll, and if the provider decides to utilize the back deck for outdoor play, a gate may need to be installed at the steps to prevent young children who are not skilled at navigating steps from injury.

An announced monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 6/12/2024. There were no children present during the inspection and the provider stated that there are currently no children enrolled. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Areas of the standards which could not be inspected without children present were discussed and will be monitored at the next unannounced inspection. Provider and Household Member records were reviewed. The entire home and out door play area were also inspected.
The inspection started at 10:15 am and concluded at 11:45 a.m.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
