Technical Assistance:
1. Family Day Home requirements reviewed.
2. Inspector will send model forms.
3. Discussed gun storage requirements.
4. Rabies vaccines are required for any pets living in the home.

Comments:
A scheduled initial inspection was conducted at 10:00am. There were no children present at the time of the inspection. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-350-E
Description: Based on observations made, the water temperature exceeded 120 degrees. Evidence: The hot water temperature in the bathroom located in the daycare, which will be used by children in care, was measured to be 129.6 degrees.

Plan of Correction: The water temperature will be turned down on the hot water tank.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-450-A
Description: Based on observations made, doors with clear glass panels did not have decorative objects at the eye level of children. Evidence: The glass doors located in the daycare did not have decorative objects placed on the glass.

Plan of Correction: Decorations/decals will be placed on the glass doors at the eye level of children.
