A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on-site March 26, 2024 from 10:46am until 1:15pm. There were 45 children present with 14 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of records, the vendor did not ensure that each staff complete the Virginia Annual Health and Safety Update Training annually as required. Evidence: The record of staff 5, hired 09/26/22, contained documentation of the 2023 Health and Safety annual training dated 02/04/24. The training should have been completed in 2023.
Plan of Correction:
Ensure staff updates are included on staff spreadsheet. Also include outlook reminder before due date.
