A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 22, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 10:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. There were twenty-six children in care with five staff. No medication is being administered at this time. Five children records were reviewed. Seven staff records were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Areas observed were: free choice activity, art/crafts, hand washing/diapering procedures and group time. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with their daily routine and schedule.
