A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on February 6, 2020 from approximately 2:45 PM to 4:20 PM) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The following staff-to-child ratios were observed in the classrooms: Infants and Toddlers 2:6, 2 year olds I 1:4, 2 year olds II 1:6, 2 year olds III 1:6, 3-4 year olds 2:17, School Age 1:3. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. Most but not all areas of the facility were inspected. The first aid kit, emergency drill records, and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. 5 children's records, 1 agent record, and 5 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9092.
