Discussed transitioning paper files to digital and expectations for future Licensing inspections.
Comments:
A mandated Monitoring inspection was conducted today,. There were 137 children present with 27 staff. Children were observed dressing to go outside, reading books, exploring outside, having lunch, building with colored magnetic tiles, stringing springs, sorting with colored glass beads, washing hands, and carpool dismissal. Reviewed 4 children's files, 4 staff files, fire inspection, emergency evacuation log and plan, attendance, and physical plant. Violations of the Standards are recorded on the violation Notice. Based on record review, the center did not submit or obtain a copy of the results of a search of the central registry maintained pursuant to ? 63.2-1515 and any child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry maintained by any other state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff#1 (start date August 2019) did not submit to have a New York Central Registry result within 30 days. 2. Staff#2 (start date July 2018) did not submit to have a New York Central Registry result within 30 days. 3. Staff#3 (Start date 8/29/19) did not submit to have a Maryland and Texas Central Registry result within 30 days. 4. Staff#4 (start date 8/31/19) did not submit to have a New York Central Registry result within 30 days.

Forms were printed and distributed to staff to complete. Forms will be mailed by end of day Friday
