Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 01/05/2023. There were a total of 177 children with 48 staff members present. Children were observed during lunch, playing outside, music class, and engaged in art activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 child records and 10 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, the diapering surface was not sanitized after each use. Evidence: After a diaper change in room 157 the diapering surface was cleaned with soap and water but not sanitized.
Plan of Correction:
Columbia CDC Teachers will be periodically reminded that the diapering surface needs to be cleaned with soap and water then sanitized with a bleach and water solution. Periodic inspections of the rooms will occur by the administrative team to ensure compliance.
