8VAC20-790 Subsidy Regulations.
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 01/05/2023. There were 15 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review and interview, caregivers who work directly with children did not annually attend the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: 1) On the date of inspection, the most recent health and safety update course certificate in the record for Staff #1 was dated 09/29/2021.
Plan of Correction:
A training certificate dated 01/06/02023 was submitted to the licensing inspector.
