Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 14, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 99 children under the supervision of 13 staff.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the Violation Notice. Based on record review and interview, one out five staff failed to complete first aid certification within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. The record for staff #5 has a start date listed as 4/18/2019. There is no documentation in staff 5's record of completing First Aid certification.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #5 does have current CPR and AED-expires on 12/21/2019. She does not have current First Aid. In any case she is due to renew.
