A allegation was self-reported to Licensing by the center. A investigation was initiated on April 5, 2022 with another local agency and ended on May 19, 2022. A three-year-old child grabbed by staff during nap time and obtain marks on the arm. Interviews were conducted, policies and video-camera footage were reviewed. There was a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding care and protection for children.
The complaint related violations and one non-related violation are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on interviews and video-camera footage, the center did not ensure supervising staff provided care for children while in care. Evidence: 1. A three-year- old child was grabbed by upper arm by staff during nap time. 2. Child showed staff member scratches on upper arm. 3. The staff dismissed the scratches on the child's upper arm. 3. Another staff member was made aware and immediately took action.
Plan of Correction:
Administrative staff was notified by another staff member regarding this incident and self reported the complaint to proper regulatory authorities immediately. Staff member in question was suspended without pay as soon as administrators were notified and then subsequently terminated for violation of school and state regulations. School worked cooperatively with governing bodies during investigation.
