A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/13/19 from 11:00am until 1:40pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the tour, there were 88 children in care with 16 staff present. A sample of 10 children's records and 10 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed participating in learning activities, eating lunch and resting quietly during nap time. Infant bottle feeding, diapering, hand washing and lunch service procedures were also observed. Medication, first aid and emergency supplies, documentation of emergency practice drills and children's injury reports were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
