Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/10/2021 and concluded on 05/18/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 15 children present and 6 staff. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on observation, the center did not have all required items in the first aid kit. Evidence: The first aid kit did not include scissors or tweezers.

The following corrective action was provided during the exit interview: The director will add scissors and tweezers to the center's first aid kit.
