Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided and licensing standards were reviewed regarding physical plant and evacuation drill documentation.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 12, 2022. The inspector arrived at 8:50 AM and departed at approximately 11:15am. There were 34 children present and 8 staff members. A sample size of 11 records were reviewed which included 6 children?s records and 5 staff records. The Inspector observed staff and children?s interactions throughout the inspection. Children were observed during group activity, painting, handwashing, and free play. First aid kits and emergency preparedness documents were observed. The transportation van was observed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented. The violation is listed on the violation notice issued to the center and were reviewed with the Director at the exit interview.

Description: Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the toddler classroom, there were three disinfectant wipe cleaners with the warning label, ?Harmful to Humans and Keep out of reach of children? near the changing table unlocked.
2. Staff #1 and Staff #2 confirmed there were three disinfectant cleaners unlocked accessible to children.

Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: During the time of the inspection, the cleaning materials were placed in a locked cabinet.
