Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on March 3, 2021 and concluded on March 4, 2021. There were 51 children present with eight staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed four children's records and four staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Based on record review, in four of four children's records, the licensee did not ensure that each child's record was documented with all required information.
Evidence: The director confirmed that the following information had not been documented in each child's record:
Child #1-work phone number for both parents Child #2 and Child #4-work number for one parent Child #3-place of employment and work phone number for one parent
Plan of Correction:
Center Director will contact parents immediately to have them correct and update their child's files.
