Comments:
An unannounced monitoring visit and facility tour was conducted on 01/10/2024. At the time of inspectors' arrival there were 14 preschool aged children in care with 5 staff members. Children were observed interacting with staff, nap, lunch and hand washing. A sample of 1 child's record and 5 staff records were reviewed. Injury reports were also reviewed. Director reported that medications are not being administered at this time. Areas of noncompliance are identified on the violation notice and were discussed with the director in an exit meeting at the conclusion of this inspection.
Based on record review and interview it was determined the center did not ensure all staff records contained all of the required information. Evidence: 1. The record for staff #5(hired 6/21/23) did not contain documentation of 2 or more references being checked prior to hire. 2. Director confirmed references were not available for staff #5 during this inspection.
Plan of Correction:
Director will request references for staff #5.
