Technical Assistance:
The inspector and director discussed getting updated medication authorization forms for the one medication on site.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 29 2023 between 10:30am and 12:15pm. There were 21 children in the direct care of 6 staff members. Children were observed playing on the playground, participating in fine motor activities, building, and working on art projects. A sampling of child and staffing records was reviewed. The physical space, the emergency plan, and supervision were observed and inspected. Violations are listed on the violation notice. Description: Based on observation, the center did not ensure that hazardous substances are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: Cleaning spray bottles were stored in a room that children are not regularly in. The room is not locked and can be opened. The cleaning supplies were stored approximately 8 feet from the ground. The requirement is that all cleaning supplies are in a locked area.

Plan of Correction: We will move the cleaning supplies out of the room.
