Technical Assistance:
An out of state search of the sex offender registry must be completed for all staff/adult household residents (Family Day Homes) who have resided outside of the state of Virginia within the past 5 years. In addition, an out of state criminal history record search must be completed for staff/adult household residents who have resided in any non-NFF states within the past 5 years. This requirement also applies to staff who currently reside outside of the state of Virginia.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 2/8/2021. The acting director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 34 children present and 6 staff. The inspector emailed the acting director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued o the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records do not contain all required information. Evidence: Child record 1 does not include the father's work phone number. Child record 4 does not include the home phone number.
Plan of Correction:
Both parents will be asked for the missing information.
