Comments:
Today an unannounced Renewal Inspection took place between the hours of 11:50am and 2:45pm. There were 7 classrooms observed with a total of 82 children with 11 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed napping during today's inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Based on observation, there were not at least 12 inches of space between occupied cots. Evidence: There were several occupied cots in the Discovery Preschool classroom that were observed to have approximately 6-8 inches of space in between one another.
Plan of Correction:
This was corrected during the inspection. I'll retrain staff on appropriate cot placement.

Description:
Based on observation, medication was not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: Child #7 medication was observed in a safety lock bag, however the zipper on the bag was broken and the bag was not sealed.
