Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on February 24, 2021 and concluded on February 24, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were thirty-six children present and seven staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Please contact Beth Orebaugh, licensing inspector, if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if you need any additional assistance at (540) 847-9173.
Based on staff interview, the center has not practiced lockdown procedures at least annually.
Evidence: 1. The administrator confirmed that there was not a lockdown drill performed during the 2020 year.
Plan of Correction:
I will conduct lockdowns of the classrooms separately to ensure that the children do not mix between the classes due to COVID 19.
