The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm The children were observed resting on mats. The older school age class was observed having swim lesson at the on site pool. The pool was also inspected today.
Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection.
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

Based on a review of staff records on 07/17/2019, the center did not ensure that a search of the central registry maintained by any other state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years had been requested within 30 days of employment.
EVIDENCE:
The record of Staff #1, whose date of hire was 04/15/2019, contained documentation that Staff #1 had lived in a state outside of Virginia in the past five years. The record did not contain documentation that the request of a child abuse and neglect registry for that state had been submitted
