Technical Assistance:
Reviewed new background requirements, effective 7/1/2020, for staff who are living or have lived outside of the state of VA in the past 5 years.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/24/2020 and concluded on 09/24/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 25 children present and 5 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review, 1 of 2 children's records did not contain all required information.
Evidence: The record for Child #1 did not contain the address for two designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached
Plan of Correction:
A new form will be placed in the parent's folder to be completed which they receive every Friday.
