A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 05/28/2024 from 12:05pm to 2:35pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 99 children ages 3 months to age 9 years old supervised by 14 staff. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, attendance, menus, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, 6 medications with corresponding authorization records, 3 allergy care plans, emergency drills, 4 injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in watching a movie, free play activities, and napping. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
