Technical Assistance:
Director will call to schedule fire inspection to renew fire permit which expired 12/31/2019.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:25 am-11:30. There were a total of 51 children with 10 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, hand washing, movement, hokey pokey, and manipulatives. A selection of staff and children records and other documents were reviewed. Based on a review of staff records, the center has not obtained an out of state child abuse and neglect search request by the end of 30th day of employment. Evidence: Staff #1 date of hire 3/9/2010 and staff #2, date of hire 9/4/2019 does not have results of out of state child abuse and neglect search.
Plan of Correction:
The director had staff complete the forms during inspection and will mail out today. The director was confused thinking the search was completed with the Virginia central registry search since she checked the box at the top that says Adam Walsh.
