A code compliance inspection was initiated on Thursday, March 21, 2024 and concluded on Friday, March 22, 2024. On March 21, the inspector was on site from 9:40am to approximately 11:45am. There were 26 children present with six staff members directly supervising. A total of five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Additional documentation was submitted electronically on March 22, 2024.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of five staff records, the center did not ensure one staff member had been certified by a practicing physician or physician assistant to be free from any disability which would prevent them from caring for children under their supervision prior to employment.
Evidence: The staff health report in the record of Staff #1, employed on 06/19/23, was completed on 08/11/2023.
Plan of Correction:
In the future, a staff health report will be obtained prior to employment.
