An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, 11/22/2019 regarding a self-reported incident regarding Infant feedings. Staff were interviewed and documentation was reviewed. Based on interview with staff, staff did not receive required training prior to their first day of employment. Evidence: Staff#1 (start date 8/19/19) did not receive Safe Bottle feeding training prior to her first day . Interview with staff revealed Child#1 was given Child#2's bottle. Staff stated approximately 1 oz was consumed by the wrong child before staff realized the error. The bottle was immediately taken away.
Plan of Correction:
We re-trained staff on Safe Bottle Feeding throughout the month October.
