Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on February 25, 2021 and concluded on February 26, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 13 children present and three staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on review of documentation and interview, the facility did not obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy.
Evidence:
1. The record of child #3, with a diagnosed food allergy, did not have documentation of a allergy care plan. 2. The director stated she did not have an allergy care plan on file.
Plan of Correction:
Per the director: I have requested a written care plan from the parents for the child's record.
