Comments:
An annual RECDC health and safety inspection was conducted today beginning at 11:25am. The center had 50 children in care with 13 staff within the supervision guidelines. A tour of the facility was conducted, records were reviewed, and observations were made. The children were observed having circle time, singing songs, listening to stories and other organized activities. Violations were found during today's inspection and can be found on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Based on a review of staff records, 1 out of 5 staff records did not have documentation of the central registry background check results on file within 30 days of employment.
Evidence: 1. Staff #2, who began working in fall 2023, did not have documentation of the central registry background check results on file within 30 days of employment.
Plan of Correction:
We have reached out to OBI and will obtain the central registry results and email to the inspector within 10 business days.
