An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:25 pm - 1:07 pm. There were 23 children supervised by 9 staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. A sample of staff background searches, health records and trainings were discussed and reviewed. The physical plant as well as program policies regarding hand washing, arrival and departure procedures and activities were also inspected and reviewed. Children were observed: transitioning outside, and doing art projects. Information gathered during the inspection determined violations to applicable standards or laws. Based on a review of staff records, the RECDC did not ensure all employees had a repeat background every 5 years. Evidence: Staff #1 did not have repeat background check results on record during the inspection.
Plan of Correction:
The CRS was sent for the staff member on September 21, 2022, and it was not returned. Resent CRS on January 8, 2024. Received CRS results on January 12, 2024. Sent CRS results to Ariel Hayes, Licensing Inspector, on January 1, 2024.
