A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 1/13/2020 from 10:35am to 1:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 43 children (2-5yrs.) supervised by 6 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing outside on the playground, playing educational games on the tablet, painting, and engaging with Legos, puzzles, and blocks. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
