Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered regarding TB screenings for staff.
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 9/5/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 21 children in care of 8 staff members. The children were engaged in circle time activities and listening to stories. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on record review, the center did not obtain a negative Tuberculosis (TB) screening for an employee 30 days prior to the first date of employment. Evidence: Staff # 1 was hired on 7/3/19. TB results were not obtained for Staff # 1 30 days prior to her first date of employment.
Plan of Correction:
The staff member will get a TB screening.
