Comments:
An in person complaint inspection was initiated on 12/10/21 and concluded on 12/14/21. A complaint incident was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of supervision, programming, behavior management, injury reporting and nutrition. All classrooms were visited during the inspection, and 5 staff members were interviewed. 1 child's record and the injury report log was reviewed. The evidence gathered during the investigation supported the allegation of non-compliance with standards. Violations related to the complaint have been cited on the Violation Notice. Based on staff interview and records review, cots used by children did not have linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover or a one-piece covering which is open on three edges. Evidence: 1. On 9/20/21, Child # 1 slept on his cot with his jacket on and without any linens. 2. Documentation on the program used by the center to update and communicate with parents, indicated that Child # 1's linens were not at the center, and the center did not provide extra linens to use for Child # 1's cot during nap time. 3. Staff # 1 stated that Child # 1's linens had not been brought back from home, and due to COVID 19 the center did not maintain an extra supply of linens.
Plan of Correction:
The center will keep clean emergency sheets on site for use.
