A discussion was held on the injury prevention plan and what needs to be included.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-11:00am. There were 35 children (infants-5yrs.) supervised by 5 direct care staff. The physical plant, programs, 7 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, circle time, singing and eating breakfast. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Based on review of 7 staff records, 1 staff member does not have an updated tuberculosis (TB) screening every two years. Evidence: Staff #1, date of hire, 9/1/06 has a TB screening that expired 1/9/19.

I am sure she had it done, we will continue to look for it.

Description:
When food is brought from home it must be labeled with child's name and current date. Evidence: In the Pre K classroom, a lunch box with food was not labeled.
Plan of Correction:
We will make sure every staff member checks when food is brought from home for name and date.
