Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on March 3, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 193 children present and 43 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Thank you for your cooperation today. If there are any questions, please contact karen.dickens@dss.virginia.gov.

2. Staff #1 stated that a fire drill was not conducted for the month of December 2020.

Plan of Correction: We will continue to schedule fire drills at the beginning of the month and establish set dates to ensure that drills are being conducted on a monthly basis.
