Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:15am-2:00pm. There were 21 children ( 3yrs-5yrs.) directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, circle time, centers, playing with Legos and playing outside on the playground. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Based on review, the center did not ensure that each staff member who work directly with children completed 16 hours of annual training of staff development activities related to child safety and development.
Evidence: Staff#3's record contained verification of only 9 hours of training completed from 6/2018 to 6/2019.

Description:
Based on record review, the center did not update a central registry check result for a staff member every five years following the last search of the central registry.
Evidence: Staff#5's record contains a central registry check that was last updated on 3/12/2014.
Plan of Correction:
We will complete the form and we'll send the results to the licensing office as soon as it arrives.
