A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 10/23/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Children were observed in circle time, tossing and rolling a ball, building with blocks, and participating in letter and word recognition. Naptime, diapering and handwashing were also observed. A selection of 5 staff and 10 children records, the physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, medications and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
