A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 7/16/2019 from 2:35pm to 5:20pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed eating snack and playing in centers. A formal observation was completed in two preschool classrooms. Snack consisted of pretzels and juice. The menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All classrooms were inspected today.
Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication was reviewed by the inspector. Two injury reports were reviewed as well as the center?s injury prevention plan, which was updated 12/2018.
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed:
Infant and Toddlers - 5:2
Twos - 3:1
Twos and Threes - 7:2
Fours and Fives - 9:1
Fours and Fives - 11:2
School Age - 6:1
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
