VDSS has five regional offices: the Northern Virginia Office in Warrenton; the Eastern Office in Norfolk; the Central Office in Henrico; the Piedmont Office in Roanoke; and the Western Office in Abingdon. Directors in each location work collaboratively with state staff housed in both the Home and Regional Offices to support Virginia Social Services System initiatives. Regional staff provide program oversight, consultation, monitoring, analysis of performance, technical assistance, and/or training to support community and local organizations.
