Technical Assistance:

The LI conducted a phone interview with the facility Administrator on 8/17/2020 in regards to standard VAC40-73-100, Infection Control and recommendations for COVID-19 made by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry (VDOLI). The LI emailed the facility Administrator memos previously sent to facilities for reporting PPE burn rates and ensure that the most recent VDOLI regulation information was obtained by the facility Administrator.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A complaint inspection was initiated on 8/6/2020 and concluded on 8/17/2020. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of VAC40-73-100. The Administrator was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation. The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegations of non-compliance with standards or law.
