Comments:

An anonymous allegation of "residents being made to do stuff" at the facility was received as a phone message by this inspector. Upon attempting to return the caller for more information the call was blocked. This inspector arrived at the facility and conducted this investigation along with some training being provided to the administrator. Resident interviews and observations could not establish a preponderance of evidence that residents were being made to do anything other than by choice. Once resident indicated learning to do own laundry with a future plan of living on their own, one indicated taking out own trash was their form of daily exercise, one indicated setting the table made them feel useful and helped occupy the day and another preferred cleaning own room. Staff was observed cleaning rooms and doing laundry as well as cooking. Thank you to residents and staff for your cooperation during this inspection process.
