Description:	Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure medications remain in the pharmacy issued container, with the prescription label or direction label attached, until administered to the resident. Evidence: During the inspection on 5/14/2024, this Licensing Inspector asked to audit the medication cart that was currently not being accessed to pass medications. The top drawer was opened by a staff member and there was a paper cup with several medications inside. The Medication Aide assigned to the medication cart had left sick, earlier in the morning and another staff member was going to complete the medication pass.
Plan of Correction:	All Medication Aide personnel have been counseled on not pre-pouring pills. The medication aides who were present have been counseled and corrective action was given. To ensure that this practice does not continue, periodic audits will be performed by the Resident Care Director of all medication carts.
