Comments:

A initial inspection was initiated on 08/09/2021 and concluded on 08/09/2021. The administrator was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The administrator reported that the current census was 0. The inspector emailed the administrator a list of items required to complete the remote documentation review portion of the inspection. The inspector conducted the on-site portion of the inspection on 08/09/2021. An exit interview was conducted with administrator on the date of inspection, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #:	22VAC40-73-880-C
Description:	Based on observations made during the tour of the building, the facility failed to provide an air conditioning system for all areas used by residents. EVIDENCE: 1. In the facility there is not an air conditioning system in the hallways or common bathrooms used by residents. There are fans in hallways to circulate the air from window air units in common areas used by residents throughout the hallways and bathrooms. 2. The temperatures in all four hallways did not exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit on the day of inspection.
Plan of Correction:	1. Allowable Variance approved 08/09/2021 for air conditioning within the facility. As purposed will monitor temps in hallways. Staff will monitor for health related illness and send out for treatment of such to local ER. Hydration will be available to all residents and staff and will be encouraged to maintain hydration throughout the day. [sic]
