An unannounced inspection was conducted on 5/26/2022, a review of staff records was conducted on 6/3/2022.
Upon arrival to the center the children in both classes were involved in center play, large motor skills activities, desk work and working on the white board. A total of five child records and four staff records were reviewed. There were a total of 26 children in care with four teaching staff, one site supervisor and cook present.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A Description: Based on review of records the center failed to provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence:
The last fire report was conduced on 5/6/2021.Plan of Correction: Contact has been made with the local fire marshal and the center was informed that the VA State Fire Marshal will be conducting the inspection. Contact has been made with the VA State Fire Marshal.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-450-A Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure that cots or mats used by children during rest period shall have linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover or a one-piece covering which is open on three edges.
Evidence:
During nap time the children did not have a bottom cover on their mats.Plan of Correction: A bottom cover will be provided for all mats/cots.
