Technical assistance was offered regarding: the use and storage of hand sanitizers; attendance records.

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 3:00pm to 4:05pm. There were 24 children in direct care and supervision of 4 staff members. The children were observed arriving to the program after being dismissed from school; washing hands before eating PM snack, and engaged in small group activities. Name to face count was observed as the children were leaving for the day. The PM snack included fruit punch and wheat crackers. 4 staff records, 3 children's records, the center's emergency drill records, and children's medications were reviewed.

Evidence:
1. There was a prescription emergency medication on site for Child # 1.
2. The medication expired in December 2021, and was not returned to the parent or disposed of as per the center's medication policy.
3. The center's medication policy stated that "When a medication or authorization for medication expires, the parent will be notified that the authorization must be renewed or the medication needs to be picked up within 14 days.
