Technical assistance was offered related to: allergy action plans and medications.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/25/23 from 11:50 am to 1:00pm. There were 42 children in direct care of four staff members. The children were observed lunch brought from home and playing in small groups. 4 staff records, 4 children's records. emergency drill logs and attendance was reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A-8 Description: Based on records review, a written allergy action plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy was not obtained.
Evidence:
1. Child # 1 and Child # 2's records indicated that both children have food allergies that require medication.
2. A written allergy action plan was not obtained for either child.Plan of Correction: Allergy action plans will be obtained from the parents and the records will be updated with that information.
