A monitoring inspection was conducted on 05/18/2022. There were 52 children present and 10 staff. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place.
Evidence:
In the large shared room, there was a bottle of disinfectant wipes and a spray bottle with disinfectant on a cart in reach of children.Plan of Correction: The chemicals were removed during the inspection. The director will ensure they are stored in a locked place.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-G Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure f hazardous substances are not kept in original containers, the substitute containers shall clearly indicate their contents.
Evidence:
In the large room there was a spray bottle on a cart that contained a blue liquid substance and was not labeled in a way to indicate its content.Plan of Correction: The bottle was removed from the room. The spray bottle will be labeled indicating it contents before returning to the classroom.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure medications were stored in an area inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
In room #1 there was a bottle of Aspirin on a countertop, in reach of children.Plan of Correction: The aspirin was removed from the classroom and moved to the office.
