Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on October 14, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 17 students ages 2 through 4, in the care of 4 staff. Four children records and four staff records were reviewed and updated.
Areas observed were: educational centers, hand washing/bathroom procedures, transition, outside play, snack and dismissal. The center is well equipped with a variety of age/stage materials for the children in care.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-J Description: Based on observation the facility did not sanitize tables before serving snack to children.
Evidence:
1. Children were observed eating snack at one table.
2. The tables were observed not being sanitized between serving snack to group #1 and group #2.
3. The teacher confirmed the tables were not sanitized between the groups of children. Tables are sanitized after all children have finished snack.Plan of Correction: Tables will be sanitized before and after each group of children sit down for snack.
