A renewal inspection was conducted on 3/15/2023 with the center director and 3 parent volunteers. There were 12 children present, ranging in ages from 3 years to 5 years. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records, 1 staff record, and 2 parent volunteer records were reviewed. The children were having story time, eating snack, and playing outdoors.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C Description: Based on a review of one staff record, the facility failed to have a subsequent communicable tuberculosis (TB) test or screening at least every two years from the date of the initial screening. Evidence: Staff A had a tuberculosis test that expired10/6/2022. Plan of Correction: Staff A is scheduled to get a repeat tuberculosis test or screening next week.
