An unannounced inspection was initiated on 7/15/2024 and completed on 7/15/2024 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 7/1/2024 relating to allegations regarding Staffing and Supervision. This inspection included:

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-B-1 Complaint related: Yes Description: The required ratio for children ages birth up to 16 months is one staff per four children.
Staff #1 was observed supervising five children (youngest child twelve weeks old) from approximately 8:02 am to 8:23 am.Plan of Correction: The director will begin scheduling staff to come in earlier, with a coverage overlap, to ensure the room is not out of ratio.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-B-2 Complaint related: No Description: The required ratio for children ages 16 to 24 months is one staff per five children.
Staff #2 was observed supervising six children (youngest child 16 months old) from approximately 7:50 am to 8:23 am.Plan of Correction: The director will begin scheduling staff to come in earlier, with a coverage overlap, to ensure the room is not out of ratio.
