The center demonstrated compliance in the installation of the carbon monoxide detector.
Technical assistance was offered related to: staff records, background checks.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 2/10/22. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 3 children present with 3 staff supervising. The children were observed engaged in music and movement activities and playing with Legos. Currently the children are required to bring their own lunch from home. There were no medications on site. 2 children's records, 2 staff records were reviewed, the center's policies, emergency drill records and supplies were reviewed.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-60-C-2 Description: Based on records review and staff interview, the center did not obtain results of a central registry finding for an employee within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 1's documents that her hire date was 10/11/21.
2. Staff # 1 stated that her actual start date at the center was 10/18/21.
3. Staff # 1's record was missing the results for the VA central registry search.
4. Staff # 1 stated that she does not if a central registry request was made for her or not.Plan of Correction: A request will be submitted as soon as possible. When the results are obtained, the center director will provide an update to the licensing inspector. It was mailed on 2/18/22.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-245-L Description: Based on on staff interview, no staff at the center had completed the daily health observation training.
Evidence: Staff # 1 stated that there was no one on site that had a current daily health observation training.Plan of Correction: The training was scheduled. Two staff members took it on 2/16/22 - the date the certificate was issued.
